For years I resisted the idea of an electric toothbrush; I mean, how much more could one do than my ordinary toothbrush. Recently, though, I’ve been using one - and gee whiz, what a difference. My teeth do feel (and look) so much cleaner - and my dentist seems to be happier as well!
So, this is part of my Christmas shopping - I love my own Braun Oral-B Sonic Toothbrush http://bit.ly/5nJNHS - so will get one for hubby!

I’m on a learning curve here - I didn’t realise just how funky and individual toilet seats have become. Since the good old days when all you could get was a wooden toilet seat - things have progressed out of all recognition. When surfing online, I found everything from - yes, you guessed it, wooden toilet seats to fun toilet seats which have CRYSTAL BLUE LED LIGHTS - that should really put a sparkle on things!

We’ve been “about” to renovate our house for years. Finally, it seems, we’re making progress. Thanks to my sister, we have some of the ingredients to upgrade our downstairs bathroom. She managed to find some great bargains and bought porcelain floor tiles, wall tiles along with a toilet and washhand basin. (I think that was my Christmas present and birthday present for the next 10 years, LOL). We’re still looking to buy a quadrant shower - and that’s what I’ll be discussing initially.
We don’t currently have gas supplied to the house, so we’re reliant on electricity to power the hot water. That suits me quite well, because I do like the electric power showers. It also means that the unit can easily be replaced when/if necessary. Our current shower is fine but I think it could be good to upgrade it as well, so that everything is new.
The downstairs bathroom is quite a large space, so our plans are to make it into a downstairs cloakroom/shower room, changing the position of the partition wall - and that will allow the rest of the space to be used as a utility/storage room. Choosing the right equipment is going to be key to the success of this plan, so I’m off to browse around and see what’s available.
… I’ll keep you posted.
